My trip to The Roaches


A few weeks ago I took a drive over to The Roaches in the Peak District to meet Adam Evans. What a lovely location it was, I have heard of it so many times over the years but have never been. It was definitely worth the journey


We had made a plan to have discussions on emotional wellbeing, about my journey and the issues that may arise and what you can do so that you can clear the behaviours.

These discussions came about following a conversation with Adam and he suggested that we spend some time recording the discussions that we have on a regular basis and that they may be useful for others. 

The topics we discussed came about following my experience on my journey and from the conversations that I have with my clients and others.

A weekend of adventure and fun

  A weekend of adventure and fun. The last 2 weekends have been full of adventure, fun and challenge. Meeting lots of new people who have met over the last 2 years on Facebook in a group that offers the spirit of adventure. This weekend it definitely did. A few members from the group set off to Keswick to join the Festival of Light that was being held on Saturday night.  I arrived on the Friday night at the YHA in Keswick (definitely worth a stay), started with a chill before the rest of the group came back from having a meal and spent time getting to know each other. When they came back to the YHA, we had lots of chat and laughs, continuing to get to know each other.  Saturday plans We eventually went to sleep, I woke at 5.30am and got ready for a day of walking, we had an offer of paddleboarding or a walk around Derwent Water a 10 mile walk. When did you last challenge yourself?

  When did you last challenge yourself?   Last weekend I went away and organised my first challenge yourself retreat.  On the retreat 2 ladies were ready to challenge themselves.  What challenges were they going to face?  Attending 8 coaching sessions from 2 very different but congruent coaches A weekend away for some peace and quiet Meeting new friends Opportunity to step into their stretch zone, doing adventurous outdoor activities Offering different types of adventure in their life Having lots of fun  So what happened There were lots of laughs together  Live from the weekend when abseiling There were tears as they worked through experiences they were finding challenging.  They made new friends They entered their stretch zone Preparing for the abseil and stepping into the stretch zone A big smile with the sense of achievement .  An action shot getting the rope untangled.  Having a walk down the cave Getting through a hole in the cave Down in the caves - definitely a stretch for all 3
