What is emotional wellbeing?
Emotional Wellbeing
What is emotional wellbeing? Having emotional wellbeing is
the ability of understanding your emotions and being able to adapt your
emotions when confronted with adversity and stressful situations to produce
more positive emotions, moods, thoughts and feelings.
Why is emotional wellbeing important? Achieving emotional
wellbeing can impact your outlook on life, your relationships, and your health.
How do you achieve emotional wellbeing?
You build your resilience so that when you face challenges
you can get through them. When you face a challenge do you feel fed up and let
it take over your emotional wellbeing or do you look for the silver lining and
move forward?
When you learn to recognise the triggers, you can make your
resilience stronger by learning to deal with the situation in a calm manner.
“Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving, we get stronger
and more resilient.”
― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free
Over the last few years, I have become more aware of my
emotions and when facing challenges, I question what is going on? How is my
behaviour affecting the situation?
I have collected knowledge and tools to allow me to become
more aware, I have a great network of friends, I have coaches who will explore
my issues so that I can dig deeper in my behaviours.
This has allowed me to receive more feedback from my whole
body, it allows me to understand relationships, how my behaviour is affecting
relationships which will allow me to achieve stronger relationships.
