What is Environmental Wellbeing?

What is Environmental wellbeing?

To achieve environmental wellbeing, covers several different areas in your life, it covers nature and your own personal surroundings. Are aware of your surroundings?

While out and about on walks are you aware of nature, trees, plants, rivers, lakes, streams and the wildlife. Sunset and sunrises.

Are you aware of the benefits that nature give you for your health? Ecotherapy is an opportunity to learn more about these benefits. I will cover this on another blog in the future.

When going for a walk or a picnic do you take your packaging back home and leave no trace.  Also are you aware of the rubbish around and do you pick it up and put it in the bin even when no one is watching?

Your home environment, is it tidy or is it cluttered? Do you have colours in your home that make you happy? Do you have pictures that make you smile? Do you have plants? Do you have a diffuser?

Some areas we may not have control on our environmental surroundings i.e. noise, rubbish in neighbourhood, living with others.

You can work on your own social space, you can plant trees, plants or herbs, you can work on the environment around us when out in nature, picking up litter, joining groups that pick litter up.

When you declutter or pick rubbish up while out and about do you Care for the environment by following the four R’s (reduce, re-use, re-think, recycle).

Sometimes when you face challenges your environment may suffer, make small steps to make a change and that will allow you to improve your environmental wellbeing.
