What is Self-Belief?
Self – Belief according to Collins’s dictionary is confidence in your own abilities or judgment.
Your beliefs are your invisible foundations that your life
is built on. You develop your beliefs during childhood, these can limit you or allow
you to grow.
You can hear the type of beliefs you have by the self-talk
you say to yourself when you have to doing new things, face challenges or changes in life.
Some examples of common core beliefs
- I am a failure
- I can’t ask for help
- I don’t matter
- I am unlovable
- I am alone
Here are some examples of positive core beliefs
- I am loveable
- I can ask for help
- I am successful
- I do matter
- I am in company
When we take the time to become aware of our beliefs, stop
the limiting beliefs and we develop a growth mindset, we can transform our life.
