How much are you worth?
How much do you value yourself or do others value you?
How much you value yourself can affect your life in so many ways.
· It can affect how you behave while around others
It can affect how others treat you.
· It can affect how much money you believe you are worth.
Low Self Worth
If you have a low self-worth around others, you may feel
intimidated when in others presence, you will allow them to treat you in an
unacceptable way this can be verbal, physical abuse.
They may let you down due to work, services and other people
so your left sitting around for them when they say that you are meeting.
You can also struggle to ask for the value of money that you
are worth, this may be in an employed role where you won’t go for promotion
because you think you are not worthy or you won’t ask for a pay rise.
If you are self-employed, you may struggle to charge a
realistic price for your services and when this happens the people who use your
services do not value it for the value it is worth.
Your self-worth is your intrinsic value which does not always accurately reflect who you are at the core. It comes from your upbringing where you
encouraged or where you criticised? When you did things and it was not right,
did you receive encouragement to keep going or was you shouted at for doing it
wrong?
Improving your self worth
To allow you to increase your self-worth, you have to
firstly know what your vision is for yourself, what is your purpose, what are
your values, how do you want your life to be.
Then you make a plan on how you are going to achieve it.
Once you have a plan, you can take action and make small
steps, each step you move forward your confidence will grow. Once you know your
purpose, your values and what your expectations for life are will allow you
make decisions in an easier way allowing you to be happier.
